Ice Fishing on Chequamegon Bay is going strong right now. At this time the ice is leveling out and in great ice fishing condition. There are many shacks and tents out on the bay right now and the village of ice shanties has begun to look numerous. Anglers are taking machines on the ice but it is still advised to know your ice and where you are fishing. Call for ice conditions. There are reports of many species of fish being caught right out on the bay in Ashland. Perch have been extremely plentiful and there are some nice size Browns being caught. Walleyes, Northerns and `White Fish are biting. The bottom line is...There is a real mixed bag of fish being caught and the anglers are loving it.
