More Price County Fishing Advice
Crappie fishing has been good, the early springs the last few years have been great to the Crappie and Bluegill population, Plastics are still my go to bait, but reports of people catching a good number of fish on Waxies, and Minnows as well. Small spoons like Swedish Pimples or Little Cecil tipped with a Gulp minnow head are doing good for me at times as well.
Walleye action has picked up a little with some nicer eaters being caught; they are still finding them in shallow water and catching them on shiners in low light hours.

Price County Professional Guide John Carlson’s sons show us all how it’s done. Maybe they have a good teacher?
The pike action is still going great, a lot of smaller fish but the action is fun.
Just remember that the action can be great in the winter but remember to only keep what you need, the best place to stock pile fish is in the body of water that you love to fish. Let some of the small ones have a chance to grow!!!
