Price County Ice Bite Begins
The ice fishing season has started in the Phillips WI area with 2 to 3 inches of ice covering most of the lakes shorelines. I would not recommend venturing far on the ice yet but fishermen are going out on the shallower shorelines and setting tip-ups for Walleye and Pike. The bite has been good so far. Most fishermen are reporting picking up a few Walleye right at dark and then again right at first light in the morning. Golden Shiners and Walleye sized Suckers are the bait of choice so far for most fishermen.
