Kewaunee/Door County Salmon Day 9 Results — Sunday, July 28, 2013 Tournament

It’s not over until it’s over, and it’s over — almost. All that separates the more than 150 prizewinners from cashing in on the 31st annual Kewaunee/Door County Salmon Tournament is Monday’s wrap-up meeting.

On the final day, Baileys Harbor weighed a dozen fish larger than 20 pounds, Sturgeon Bay 11, Kewaunee 10, Algoma six and Washington Island three. Those 42 fish pushed the grand total to 404 “20s,” nearly 29 times more than the 14 20-pound-plus “kings” weighed in the 2012 event.

Only one fish, Andy Pohar’s 26.35-pounder at Sturgeon Bay, moved into the unofficial top 25 Sunday. The official winner’s list will be announced sometime Tuesday.

The K/D Salmon Tournament is sponsored in part by Algoma BP, Baylake Bank, Big Lake Tackle, Big Weenie, Cannon Downriggers, 57 Depot, Flanigan Distributing, Great Lakes Tackle and Outfitting, Greystone Castle, Howie’s Tackle, Kap’s Marina, Kewaunee Marina, Lakeshore Lighthouse, Luhr Jensen, Moonshine Lures, Northland Taxidermy, Opti Tackle, Plano Molding and Wisconsin Charm.
