Kewaunee/Door County Salmon Tournament Day 7 Results

Day 7 Results — Friday, July 27, 2012

A rough day wave-wise Friday kept fishing pressure down in many areas, and it showed in the weigh-ins. With fewer fishermen on the water, there were just three changes in the top 30. The day’s largest “king” went 19.6 pounds.

Fish registration ends at 5 p.m. Sunday. Anglers can still get tickets before they fish today or Sunday at Kap’s Marina on Washington Island, 57 Depot in Baileys Harbor, Algoma BP, Kewaunee Marina, Lakeshore Lighthouse in Kewaunee and Howie’s Tackle, Hol-N-One Mobil or Greystone Castle in Sturgeon Bay.

Major sponsors for the 30th anniversary of the “K/D” include Bay Lake Bank ($500 to the lucky angler landing in the 30th spot), Big Lake Lures (spoons), Big Lake Tackle (three-pack of Dragon Flies), Big Weenie Trolling Flies, Brad’s Cut Plugs, Cannon downriggers, Costa Sunglasses, Flanigan Distributing (soft pack coolers and banners), Howie’s Tackle (flies and copper wire package), Luhr Jensen (tackle), Moonshine Lures (glow spoons), Northland Taxidermy of Algoma (mount of winning fish), Plano Tackle (tackle box), P-Line (300-yard spool, 20-lb. line) and wisconsincharm.com (silver salmon ring with a diamond eye).
