Lots of changes are going on right now. There are a lot of Coho's, Browns and Steelheads at the Rivers and River Mouths. The Steelhead are especially biting and they are a nice size. Fish are staging right now and getting ready to go into the River Mouths to spawn.
This is always an exciting time of year for anglers, because the fish are active and biting like crazy. Most anglers have put their boats away for the winter and a great opportunity like this, where they can catch some nice fish from the shore or along the shoreline is exciting! Many are reporting using bright colors for their bait and nightcrawlers and spinners have also been noted as a bait of choice.
Typically the fishing should remain the same for the next couple of weeks but everyone is also getting excited for Ice Fishing. It seems to be a favorite fishing time of year for many anglers. Guide Roger LaPenter is getting a lot of inquiries about the upcoming ice fishing season.
