Ashland Area Fishing Report 6-21-12

Fishing Guide Roger LaPenter from Anglers All, (715)-682-5754, http://www.anglersallwisconsin.

Reports: Carolyn at Anglers All Reports: The Big Lake continues to be good. Bass are in spawn and post-spawn mode and fishing has been great on flies. A lot of good fishing has been done at Sand Cut, Oak Point and Brush Point areas. Trolling for Trout and Salmon has been very good. Start early in the morning on the first drops then work to deeper water as the sun gets higher in the sky. Most anglers are using spoons, bait flies and spin-n-glows. There has been a good deal of Northern activity along the Ashland Shoreline. The Walleye feeding frenzy is starting to slack off and the fish are starting to move throughout the Bay. Anglers are having good luck on the Inlands with Bass, walleye, northern and panfish all biting. The bass and panfish are in the shallows and are very active.

The Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce reports:

Call the local bait shops for any fishing news! (Anglers All, 715-682-5754 or River Rock, 715-682-3232).
