Warden Wire: Want dirt? How about a new shooting range instead
You never know until you ask.
And when Conservation Warden Dave Algrem of Wautoma took his seemingly simple request for some dirt to give a nearly 50-year-old small rural rifle range a bit of a facelift, he never dreamed months later he’d be witness to an extreme makeover thanks to the collaborative efforts by many of all ages. That’s exactly what happened to this Waushara County range built by a local gun club on Department of Natural Resources land way back in the 1960s.
