Spring Update from Wern Valley
It may be the first day of spring, but you wouldn't know it by the thermometer. Unlike last year, it looks as though there will be plenty of opportunities for hunting in the days ahead. Just don't forget your waterproof boots.
Due to the inclement weather, the Club is extending the deadline for birds under contract until Sunday, April 7th, and there will be triple shift hunting during the last week in March (the 26th-30th). If the weather stays cooler, the Club may stay open for an additional week in April. There are still plenty of birds available for hunting.
Another hunter safety class has just ended, and the Learn To Hunt Turkey Program class for first time hunters will be held this coming Monday, March 25th at 6 pm. The hunt is then on April 6th and 7th. Please call for more information or to sign up.
As one might imagine, the spring sporting clays seaon is off to a slow start. As a reminder, sporting clays is now open Wednesdays & Thursdays from noon til sunset and Saturdays from 9 am to last squad out at 3 pm. The Club's popular summer league will be starting the first week in May.
Take advantage of what appears to be an extended opportunity for hunting this season, and look for additional updates in the weeks ahead!
