Warden Wire: Sharpen shooting skills for gun-deer season; Returning hunters also may be eligible for discount license

The November gun-deer season is about five weeks away and there are plenty of public access shooting ranges for you to sharpen your skills -- including spending some time at the Dane County Law Enforcement Training Center Range which will offer daily public hours in November. And, if you're a new hunter this year -- or a hunter returning for the first time in at least 10 years -- you are eligible to hunt with a first-buyer hunting license for $5. Read more:
