Report deadly turtle crossings near you and lend an ear for frogs

Report where turtles are crossing the roads near you

Wisconsin turtles are on the move, leaving streams and rivers and crossing roads to reach upland areas to lay their eggs. Help make sure as many of them survive as possible by driving attentively near waterbodies and reporting where you see turtles cross. Such information can help DNR and partners work to improve roadway safety for motorists and turtles.

Report turtle crossings now.

Lend us your ears to find mink frogs!

Our mink  frog surveys start soon and we still have a few open counties where we are looking for volunteers. Volunteers are recruited to listen twice during the day and twice at night along set routes in June and early July.

See where volunteers are still needed and sign up.

Watch a video on mink frogs to hear their call.
