Target Shooting Practice for Challenging Terrain
Clint Smith, President and Director of Thunder Ranch Training Center, walks us through a shooting course designed to simulate several real-world shooting environments and provides helpful pointers on how to engage targets more effectively. Hunters and competitive target shooters are sometimes required to shoot from many different and potentially uncomfortable positions. To be quick and effective requires practice.

#GUNVOTE: Democrats Talk Gun Control in Their First Debate
The first Democratic presidential debate last week on CNN saw Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley and Lincoln Chafee eagerly competing to see who could deliver more anti-gun talking points to pander to the generally liberal primary election voters. Only Jim Webb, who has since dropped out of the race, expressed an appreciation for Americans' legitimate concern regarding the exercise of their Second Amendment right to self-defense. View the gun comments highlights of the debate.

Long-Range Shooting Ethics: How Far is Too Far?

Handgun 101: How to Stand When Firing a Pistol
Top Shot Champion Chris Cheng demonstrates for beginners the two common stances for pistol shooting and notes that comfort is key when taking an effective shooting stance. Firearm instructors and experienced shooters are encouraged to watch and share these tips with newcomers to the shooting sports.

How to Travel with a Firearm

Whether you're planning to attend a competition, going on a distant hunt or just want to take along a firearm for your own personal defense when you travel away from home, you absolutely need to know the rules of how to legally travel with your gun. Read more.

COLLECTOR'S CORNER

Forty Years with the Little 7mm
"I think," says the author, "I've seen more game killed with fewer shots from this modest little cartridge than any other." Here's the why and how, all of which may well explain the current spate of interest in the 7x57.
