CANDIDATES TALK SECOND AMENDMENT AT THIRD DEBATE . . . During the last Presidential debate, Hillary Clinton was asked to explain her statement from a year ago that "The Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment" and specifically to explain her problem with the reasoning of the Heller decision.   • NSSF has filed a motion for judgment in the ongoing suit brought by the Center for Biological Diversity against the U.S. Forest Service to ban the use of traditional lead-component ammunition on National Forest System land under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
  • The New Jersey Assembly last Thursday passed (73-0) an NSSF-sponsored bill to change state law to allow manufacturers to sell firearms directly to law enforcement agencies in that state.

  • NSSF’s Project ChildSafe firearm safety education program and Cabela's Outdoor Fund have partnered with fish and wildlife agencies in all 50 states to distribute firearm locks and to encourage Americans to "Hunt S.A.F.E." this fall by remembering to handle, transport and store firearms responsibly.
