Last Chance Buck
Clint Bindrich of Jackson was running out of time during the first weekend of the Wisconsin Gun Deer Season while hunting near Wisconsin Rapids. With departure for home planned for 11:00 am Sunday, Bindrich had seen no deer by 10:20 although he had been on stand since before first light.
The only deer that came through; a massive 8-pointer that appeared in the thick brush was worth the wait. The Remington Model 700 .30-06 wrote a better ending to the story.
The buck had a 20-1/2 inch inside spread.
