Volunteer Opportunity: 2018 Fawn Survey Begins May 21 in Dodgeville
Are you up for walking around southwest Wisconsin to help find fawns? If so, we need your help!
From May 21 through June 3, the field crew of the Southwest Wisconsin CWD, Deer and Predator study will be out searching our study area in Grant, Iowa and Dane Counties for newborn fawns to fit them with radio collars. And we need as many helping hands as we can muster!
Volunteers will hike alongside DNR research staff to collar up to our goal of 100 fawns.
We go out every day during the fawn survey, rain or shine, from the Dodgeville DNR Service Station.
