Dan Small’s Deer Hunt Wisconsin TV Special November Airings Mark 25th Anniversary
When host Dan Small welcomes viewers to “Deer Hunt Wisconsin 2016,” he will be celebrating 25 years of delivering the award-winning one-hour specials that have become a Wisconsin November tradition for hunters, conservationists and other wildlife enthusiasts.
Show segments include a vegetarian-turned-hunter, new regulations, easy ways to find places to hunt, new research, citizen participation in deer management and interviews with natural resource professionals from the Wisconsin DNR, a major funder of the show, which is also supported by Wisconsin Dept. of Tourism, Outdoor News, Outdoor Heritage Education Center, Honda, Hunting Works for Wisconsin, Whitetails Unlimited, Wildlife Research Center, Wern Valley Sportsmen’s Club and McMiller Sports Center, MEC, SCI Badgerland, Wisconsin and Northeastern Wisconsin chapters, DogBone Enterprises, The Range of Richfield, TenPoint Technologies, Valley Snowmobile & Powersports, Bad Boy Buggies, InGround Blinds, Grandpa Ray Outdoors and Legendary Whitetails.
The show airs first on Milwaukee Public TV (MPTV 10.1) November 3 at 9pm and November 5 at 9am. MPTV is home to “Outdoor Wisconsin,” another longstanding staple for viewers who cherish the state’s natural resources and outdoor opportunities.
Fox Sports North will air “Deer Hunt Wisconsin” in five states (IA, MN, ND, SD & WI) again this year at 9pm Nov. 10, 9am and 1:30pm Nov. 11, 5pm Nov. 12 and 11am Nov. 19. Fox has continued to add and improve airtimes for the popular show, including the following times on Fox Sports Wisconsin: 10 pm Nov. 10, 8:30am & 1pm Nov. 11, 3pm Nov. 12 and 9:30am Nov. 13.
Dan and co-producer Mark LaBarbera announced the show will also air on Fox 47 in the Madison market Nov. 12 at 6am. Airtimes for the show on Wisconsin Public TV have not been announced.
