MADISON - Please join the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for two
tele-press conferences, Nov. 18, 9 a.m. and Nov. 22, 2:30 p.m. featuring DNR
Secretary Cathy Stepp and leaders from the law enforcement, licensing and
wildlife programs.
By calling in for the phone-based briefing, you will hear statements from
DNR experts and have the opportunity to ask questions regarding this year's
9-day gun deer hunt.
NOTE: DNR will release a post-call release with a brief summary of opening
day highlights as gathered by DNR staff throughout Wisconsin after the
opening day (Nov. 22) conference. The tele-press conference provides media
with access to DNR staff in central office and in the field to answer
questions about the season. Additionally, visit dnr.wi.gov and search
keyword "deer<http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/hunt/deer.html>" to view a web-based
table of key license sales numbers. The table will be updated at least once
daily entering opening day, and preliminary opening weekend numbers will be
released the following week.
