Black, minority Trump supporters censored by Gannett, other media at 2020 RNC Convention. Expect the same as Milwaukee hosts 2024 RNC Convention. Look back four years Wisconsin, to compare and contrast Gannett’s corrupt coverage of the 2020 Republican and Democratic National Conventions to know what to expect July 15-18 when the nation’s eyes rest on Milwaukee, home of the 2024 RNC convention.  The DNC will showcase its conventi...

On Wisconsin Outdoors

Well it has been another up and down week here in Central Wisconsin with temperatures bottoming out near zero and then charging up to the mid-forties.  We have seen several inches of snow and just as quickly as it arrived it has diminished.  The musky fishing has started to slow a bit but the walleye fishing remains phenomenal with limit catches being taken.  With that said it has come to that sad time of the year where I have pulled my boat for the season.

As I write this my boat is with the excellent staff at Amherst Marine being gone over from the rigorous season of use, and then it will be winterized.  It has been another great open water season with a lot of outstanding trips and great memories made!  I want to thank everyone for making what I do possible.  As we move into winter, I am already looking forward to an excellent ice fishing season ahead.

The opener of the 2017 gun deer season is this weekend and it looks like we are going to be greeted with cooler temperatures, a little snow, and the same strong winds that we saw last season.  The wind may not be quite as bad as last season but it will definitely be windy at that!  I just hope as all hunters do, that we get the forecasted snow to make visibility in the woods a little better.

On a final note I would like to send out a big “Thank You” to someone that I have always looked up to:  Al Linder…  Last week Al was at the University of Stevens Point and he gave a remarkable, heart-felt speech about his life story.   Al’s story was not what I was expecting, but it was very inspirational and educational.  If you ever get a chance to go and see Al Linder in person you will not be disappointed.  His life story is one that you will not forget.
