Now it starts.  Too much to keep up with in Wisconsin, and that is one nice problem for an outdoorsman. OWO Columnist Wayne Morgenthaler and his son Neal spelled double trouble for two Richland County gobblers after four days of not filling tags. 2014 Wisconsin Sport Show Speakers Announced

EAU CLAIRE, WI (March 3, 2014): For what will be the largest sport show in western Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Sport Show is pleased to announce the speakers for the 2014 event.  The Wisconsin Sport Show will be held at the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 14, 15, and 16, 2014.  Some of the main speakers and demonstrations include:

Riaan and Henk Bosveld, South African Safaris, Making the longest journey to this year’s event are the Bosveld brothers from Vaalwater South Africa sharing information on South African hunting trips.

Kurt Walbeck, host of Outdoor Bound TV, Kurt will be telling stories and giving tips on some of his hunting trips from around the world.

Bob Mercier, author of best-selling hunting book “Dominance is Everything”, will be discussing how to be invisible to deer and how to find the areas big bucks frequent in daylight.

Karen Rude, owner of Rude Dog U, Jeff Latour, owner of Elk River Kennels, Sonny Piekarz, owner of Haycreek Kennels, and Kasey Morgan, owner of Wisconsin’s Bloodhound tracking service, will all be presenting separate demonstrations and seminars on dog-training, hunting dogs, and tracking over the three days.

Fishing seminars will be given by: Ace Sommerfeld, of WI Muskies Inc, Lee Haasch, owner of Haasch Guide Services, John Andrews, of the Anglers Choice Guide Service, and Don Easley, of Cap’N Redbeards.

Additional hunting seminars will be given by: Dave Fredrickson, of Fredrickson Outfitters and Scott Roepke, of the WI Dept. of Natural Resources.

Over 130 indoor exhibitor displays and 10,000+ sq ft of boats, RVs, and outdoor equipment.  Event hours are 4 to 8:30 PM on Friday, March 14th, 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, March 15th, and 10 AM to 4 PM on Sunday, March 16th.  Advanced admission tickets are $6 for adults (ages 11 and older) or $8 at the door.  Children 10 and under are free.  Advanced tickets are available at Scheels, any Gordy’s County Market location, the downtown Leader Telegram offices, or on-line at www.wisportshow.com
