Media invited to attend Pope and Young Bowhunters Rendezvous Head at MacKenzie Center June 10-12
POYNETTE, Wis. - Archers from all over the country looking to test their
skills will join Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staff at the
MacKenzie Center<http://dnr.wi.gov/education/mackenzie/> June 10-12 for the
Pope and Young Bowhunters Rendezvous<http://www.pope-young.org/rendezvous/>
[EXIT DNR].
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about DNR programs,
including the Deer Management Assistance
Program<http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/wildlifehabitat/DMAP.html>, and participate
in hands-on demonstrations and unique archery target venues. In addition, a
partnership with Wisconsin's National Archery in the Schools Program
chapter<http://dnr.wi.gov/education/outdoorSkills/Nasp.html> and the
Kentucky-based Scholastic 3-D Archery Association will provide additional
youth archery venues.
Members of the media are encouraged to head to MacKenzie and learn more
about this nationwide event and partnership.
