Wausau Bear Hunter Prepares for Successful Season
Hunter Eric Pacey of Wausau drew a kill permit for the September bear season and shares with us some of his photos while baiting public land in Iron County with his brother, Jason Pacey.
Jason Pacey finishes preparing another bait station in Iron County. Jason will handle video-taping the hunt of his brother, Eric Pacey.
“So far, I have been baiting for a month and had one bait hit the first week, two baits the second week, and the past two weeks all three baits have been hit,” He said. “I have at least 650 pictures of at least 10 different bears. So far the experience has been a blast! Just wish I didn’t have to wait another 9 years to get another tag but at least my brother should get one in 2 more years.”
Jason Pacey helped Eric set up the bait stations and assists in the ongoing baiting chores when he gets the opportunity to get up north. Jason will also handle video-taping duties during the hunt. Stand by for the conclusion.
